Food supplement in the form of a hard capsule containing Schisandra chinensis fruit extract, standardised for schisandrins - compounds from the polyphenol group.Schisandra, also known as Chinese magnolia vine, is a source of valuable schizandrin, which belongs to the polyphenol group. It is a climbing plant with long stems that can reach up to 20 metres in height. Chinese magnolia vine grows naturally in the forests of East Asia, and its fruits are known for their unique flavour profile. In Asia, it has been given the name &lsquofruit of five flavours&rsquo because it combines sweet, salty, sour, bitter and spicy notes.Our Schisandra dietary supplement contains a high content of Chinese magnolia vine fruit extract. A daily dose of 1 capsule provides as much as 550 mg of extract, obtained from a minimum of 2200 mg of Chinese magnolia vine fruit (Schisandra chinensis), DER 4:1, standardised to a minimum of 55 mg (10%) schizandrin. The amount of extract in one capsule is obtained from 2200 mg of the fruit of this plant.Schizandrin is a natural polyphenol, or more precisely a lignan, present in schisandra fruit, which gives it a distinctive character and a complex, multidimensional flavour. This makes schisandra an interesting plant ingredient with unusual sensory properties. Schisandra fruit is used to prepare among other things infusions, jams, preserves and syrups. As part of the supplement, it is a valuable source of polyphenols.We recommend taking 1 capsule daily, in the morning after a meal, with water.
