Food supplement in the form of a hard capsule containing reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) fruiting body extract, standardised for polysaccharides, beta-glucans and triterpenes.Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a species of mushroom from which a valuable extract standardised for polysaccharides, beta-glucans and triterpenes is obtained. It has been used for centuries in the Far East and, due to its properties, reishi is often referred to as the &ldquomushroom of longevity&rdquo.Our food supplement provides in a daily serving (2 capsules) 1000 mg of extract from the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum (DER 4:1). To produce 1000 mg of extract, as much as 4 g of dried fruiting bodies were used. The extract is standardised to 40% (400 mg) polysaccharides, 25% (250 mg) beta-glucans, and 1% (10 mg) triterpenes.Ganoderma lucidum is distinguished by its characteristic appearance &ndash a shiny, hard surface with a dark colouration and a slightly bitter taste. It is the presence of triterpenes that gives the extract its naturally intense bitter profile, although in capsule form the flavour is not perceptible.We recommend taking 2 capsules daily, preferably after a meal, with a glass of water.
