Manuka Doctor Manuka Middles Manuka Honey & Lemon Lozenges 100g

Manuka Middles are a soothing Manuka Honey & Lemon Lozenge with Zinc. The addition of Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system. At the heart of each lozenge is a runny Manuka Honey centre. The centre of each Manuka Honey lozenge is made with high grade 300 MGO Manuka Honey, direct from Manuka Doctor's own New Zealand hives.

Each bag of Manuka Middles contains between 12-15 individually wrapped lozenges.

Consuming a Manuka Middle per day will provide 15% of the daily recommended dosage of Zinc. The addition of Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

A scientific study from 2004 showed that chewing or sucking a Manuka honey “sweet” helped improve oral health by reducing plaque, and gum-bleeding. With the researchers suggesting there may be a potential therapeutic role for manuka honey confectionery in the treatment of gingivitis and periodontal disease (1).

Methylglyoxal or MGO for short, is a naturally occurring compound found in Manuka Honey and is derived from DHA (dihydroxyacetone) which is naturally present in the nectar of the Manuka Bush. The MGO level is an indication of the Manuka Honeys antimicrobial properties.
